Cooking Guide: (Salmon Trout Steaks in Tomato-Basil Sauce)

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon trout steaks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup canned diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup white wine or vegetable broth
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried basil (or 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Sauce: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Add diced tomatoes, white wine (or broth), basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Cook Steaks: Season salmon trout steaks with salt and pepper. Add them to the pan with the tomato sauce. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily.
  3. Serve: Spoon the tomato-basil sauce over the steaks and serve with pasta or crusty bread. Enjoy!
